Team Cup Winning Shot
I
was just making sure the camera was working for 'trophy' pictures, and
just happened to capture David Kennedy's superb deep screw to effectively
win the game a quarter of a second before it happened. Don't think he
was too pleased with me, but it didn't affect him as he managed to kiss the other red on the top
cushion, and snooker behind for James to finish the game just one shot
later!

Here's a good local website ran by s1jobs.com. It's called

PottersPool website has just gone through the
10,000 hits barrier, and this season
PottersPool competition will have paid out more than
£10,000 in prize money and
5,000 bottles of Budweiser since records began!
Auto Entry

Want "auto entry" into the competition
every Thursday. Simply let me know via
Email or other, and I'll let Dave and Dug know. There are several of
us that don't need to do anything but turn up. Add yourself to that
list!! Of course, if you can't make it, you'll need to ring well in
advance, otherwise you'll be taken off that auto list as not reliable.
Transfer Central
Chris Caldwell - The Team
Hill Contract has now expired after 4 long season, and Chris has decided
to join the current champions on a free transfer. His aim is to be the
first person to win the title with two different Teams. Andy Hill
comments were "He's been a long and value servant to Team Hill, except
that time he said he was going to turn up for the Team Cup, and decided
to get pished instead. However, we all need to try new things, and we
wish him the best of luck with his new team. Still think he was a cheeky
bastard asking for a testimonial though"
James "Chubb" Russell -
Chubba was good enough to fill in for Brian Aitken when he had to leave
for Government duty. He filled in with a fantastic 7 points in 5 weeks,
romping Team Kearney to the title. Unfortunately for Team Kearney, he
was too good, and Team captain David Kennedy moved quickly to snap him
up whilst he was a free agent. Stuart Kearney said "What a job he's done
for this team, we're gutted to have had him snatch out of our hands, we
had a verbal agreement, but I guess Mr Kennedy got the ink dry on the
dotted line"
John Samson - Andy Hill
had to move fast on the realisation he was going to lose his Team mate,
and has he pulled a cracker out of the that here. John is a close
friend, but inside knowledge is key to recognising the potential
straight away. As a result John will be turning up almost every week,
which is a master stroke for Andy Hill. Andy said "John is already rank
16th, and that's him not even turning up every week, where can he go
from here is the question, I recon he's a top 10er"
Tom Campbell - Declared
by Cousar as his secret weapon, only time will tell, but the pressure on
Tom to now lose games to make Cousar look a 'dick' is now quite considerable
for him! He's at least in the right Team to learn those techniques,
allegedly!!!
Scott Walker/Stevie Watt -
This is a combined Seed 3 in Team Cousar. Scott Walker
is the default Seed 3, so whenever he turns up, he's the one who gets
the points, otherwise if Scott isn't there in steps reserve Stevie Watt,
a previous winner! Stevie can only been used in the case of Scott being
on shift. We know about Stevie's victory in PottersPool back in
Season 1, but apparently Scott
and Cousar won it back in the 'previous century' before records began. Not
a bad feat for two 5 year olds, but of course we totally believe you
guys!! lol
Rankings
are now available. A few surprising movers!! For many years Slim, Davie
K and Stuart K ruled the world. Is it an end to the Old Firm's
dominance? We'll find out in next seasons rankings!
