Answers
1. What if a player leave a premiership team for another in the premiership?
They continue being classed as a player for the team they are listed for, but will continue to obtain the points based upon their new premiership team.
e.g. Saha is listed as a Fulham player, but now plays for Man Utd. If he scores for Man Utd he still gets the points.
NOTE : You can have another 2 Man Utd player in your team, but only one other Fulham player. If you are still confused, as a rule always go by what the Team Checker says.
2. What if a player leave a premiership team for a none Premiership team?
If this happens to one of your players, well it the luck of the draw. Get ready to transfer them out of your team, you don't need to right away, but you'll continue to score 0 points for the rest of the time they're in your team.
3. When can I make a transfer?
Anytime!! However, if any of the players in the transfers (either in or out) have already played in midweek, your transfer will be automatically put in the transfer cue for the following week. (i.e. after the Sunday games if they're are any)
NOTE : It doesn't matter if the player in question played, was injured, was on the subs bench, or was killed in a car crash the previous week. The transfer will be put off one week if they simply are listed as playing for that team, and the team played midweek. Click here to do a Transfer.
4. I sent a email recently to do a transfer. They don't seem to have gone through. What's happened??
Well, 1 of 3 things could have happened.
a) You transfer is more than likely in the transfer cue to do through the following week. This is how it works. If you send an email on the Friday (and none of the Teams have played in midweek, see above) your transfer will not show up instantly on the websites Teams link. All transfer sent prior to the weekends game go through when the update is made the following Tuesday.
b) You could have done the same as above, but one (or more) of the Teams played in midweek, then your transfer is still in the transfer cue, but has been set up for updated a week later (it could be up to a 2 week lag from the date of the transfer before it finally goes through). However please note, no points have been lost.
c) Your transfer may have been overlooked for one reason or another. I am only human. This has happened a once or twice over the last 5 years, so it's not impossible but is unlikely. If you think this has happened to you, and the above two do not apply, then email Stuart
5. When the points are updated each Tuesday, which games are they for??
The FanLeague week is from the Tuesday morning, the previous week to the Monday night game the following week. The update is then done on the Tuesday evening. This includes all games played in the premiership between these dates.
6. What happens if my Team breaks the FanLeague rules??
The simplest way to answer this is to check out the Errors+Fines link.
7. The Website is still showing last weeks Tables and Results??
One of two things might have happened.
a) The update has not been done yet, even though the website said the date of the "Next Update" was due and has now passed. It might be because of my works commitments that I haven't had time. Check to see if "Last Update" date was this week, otherwise, I have not updated for this week.
b) Your browser (e.g. IE or Netscape) sometimes saves websites in memory for several days. So when you go to the website, it still shows you last weeks results, since the browser first checks for the website in memory before it asks for a download of the new website over the internet (telephone line). The reason that some people do this is if a website has many many pictures on it, it can take several minutes to download these pictures again over the internet. Therefore, it simply loads these pictures up from this memory.
i) The sort term solution is to press the "Refresh
button" . Two arrows in a clockwise rotation.
You should now see the current week. If not do either i) or ii) below
ii) To remove the websites from this memory.
Click Tools on the drop down menu at the top of Internet Explorer.
Choose Internet Options
Click the General Tab (first one of 6 at the top)
Click the "Delete Files" in the middle of the form.
This has now removed any pictures and files saved in your memory.
iii) To Remove this option of saving all together.
Click Tools on the drop down menu at the top of Internet Explorer.
Choose Internet Options
Click the General Tab (first one of 6 at the top)
Click the "Settings" button to the right of "Delete Files" in the middle
of the form.
Under "Temporary Internet files folder" move the slider bar under the
"Amount of disk space to use" to zero.
You have now successfully removed this facility to hold websites in memory for
good. To reverse simply change this slider bar back again.
